Your Abba Father wants you and your loved ones to live a life of health and protection under His wings. The more you see by revelation Jesus the Christ, the more you will sense the Father's love in your heart and receive all He has freely given to you. I believe it is for this reason God instituted the anointing oil that you might experience life, healing from disease, and protection from evil.
The anointing of the oil is a valid channel by which believers in Christ can release New Testament faith. Know that ceremonies or practices instituted in the New Testament are there to remind you of some aspect of the person and the finished work of Jesus Christ. Thus, the anointing oil is a type that reveals Jesus's bruising and chastisement for your complete wholeness.
Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. - James 5:14
The Anointing Oil consists of only one element:
- The Anointing Oil is oil that has been set apart for application during prayer.
In the Old Testament, for one to make oil, an olive needed to be pressed. Like the olive, Jesus was also "pressed" as God's chastisement fell upon His body to the point where all His blood was shed. His body was bruised for your complete wholeness and completely covered by His blood for your protection.
Before you anoint yourself with oil, pray over your oil to set it apart. There is no need to obtain any special oil. Any oil can become Anointing Oil once it has been prayed over and set apart. This is the reason why the ingredient is not nearly as important as connecting with the spiritual aspect of the oil by faith.
Prayer for Oil Consecration:
In the name of Jesus, I set this oil apart to be holy anointing oil.
Jesus, I thank You for going to the cross and bearing all my sins on Your own body and the chastisement due for them. This holy anointing oil speaks of the punishment that you bore that I might be whole and protected by Your blood. I thank You that whatever this oil touches, the fullness of Your life, healing and protection virtue will flow.
May it turn darkness into light, lack into abundance, sickness into healing. May it release Your restoration, provision and fruitfulness into every situation.
I pray that wherever this oil is applied, it will bring glory and praise to Your name. Amen. (You may apply the Anointing Oil)
